ACU Drive No. 9

ACU beings its drive on its own 15. Daryl Richardson runs off left tackle for 5 to the 15. On 2nd and 5, Richardson is stuffed at the line for no gain. On third and 5, Gale passes complete to WR Dennis Campbell over the middle for a first down at the ACU 35. Gale passes deep over the middle to Edmund Gates, but the ball is a little too long. On 2nd and 10, Richardson runs down the left side of the line and out of bounds, for no gain. WR Dennis Campbell is shook up on the play, and leaves the field. On 3rd and 8, ACU is flagged for a false start, backing the ball up 5 yards to the 32. Gale passes deep down the right sideline, but it's incomplete.  TSU is flagged for pass interference, however, so ACU has a first down at its own 47. Richardson runs up the middle on first down, gaining 2. On 2nd down, Gale overthrows Edmund Gates on a deep route. On 3rd and 8, Gale scrambles for a first down at the TSU 40. On 1st and 10, Richardson runs off right tackle to the TSU 34, a gain of 6. On 2nd and 4, Gale is sacked and fumbles. TSU recovers at its 39 with 5:40 let in Q3.
