ACU kickoff is fielded 5 yards deep in the end zone and returned to the ASU 25 by Garrett Tidwell. Neiswander hands off to RB Michael Simpers, who loses a yard on the rushing attempt. Simpers tries right end but is thrown for a loss by the strong ACU defense at the ASU 16. On third down, LB Fred Thompson sacks Neiswander at the ASU 9, bringing up fourth down. The punt, from the end zone, knuckles in the wind, and is downed at the ASU 34 with 12:01 left in Q2.
