Richardson runs to the right for 4 to the 30. Gates drops a screen pass from Gale on the right side of the field. On 3rd and 6, Gale's pass is tipped and batted down, incomplete. On fourth down, Mark Sprague's punt is downed by Emery Dudensing at the MSU 40.
