Akins runs for a first down across midfield, pushed out of bounds on the Ram sideline at the 42 of ACU. LB Courtney Lane blitzes and sacks Neiswander at the ASU 47, a big loss on the play. Neiswander's pass is complete to SE Dakarai Pecikonis, but he is thrown for a loss of 2. On third down, Neiswander's pass deep down the left sideline is complete at the ACU 15 and a first down. Dwight Pete rushes for 2 yards up the middle to the 13 of ACU. Neiswander's pass in the right flat is incomplete. On third down, his pass over the middle is complete to V'Keon Lacey, for a gain to the ACU 5. ASU goes for it on fourth down and makes it, giving the Rams first and goal at the ACU 4. Neiswander's s pass to FB Austin Benson is complete, but he is tackled immediately and for a loss of 1. Another Neiswander pass is complete, in the left flat, but the receiver is tackled for no gain. Neiswander overthrows his receiver in the end zone on third down, as ACU's defense stiffens. A 22-yard field goal is faked, and Zach McCormick runs it into the end zone for a Ram TD. Ryan Smith's PAT is good, and ACU's lead is cut to 17-7 with 6:05 left in Q3.  A 14-play, 85-yard scoring drive for ASU.
